Spring is springing. Croci are adding a splash of colour to the verges. The temperature is reaching double digits. The birds are singing in celebration.
We talk a lot about the Great Outdoors here at River View and Hill View holiday cottages. The landscape is so varied here: stark climbs through ancient quarries; strolls through pastoral scenes; woodland graced by deer. And it is further enriched by the changing seasons, giving each familiar walk a new aspect every time.
We also want to the treasures of Pateley Bridge. The High Street is picture perfect, often photographed by visitors. The historic buildings house a wealth of little luxuries. We have art galleries, fashion shops, the oldest sweet shop in the world, barbers, cafes, butchers, bakers (no candlestick makers unfortunately) and a hot chocolate shop where you pick your own exotic flavour.
One of the best things about all of these places is the passion of the owners for what they do. They pick products themselves, care about quality and can give advice based on customer preferences. So when you stop off for a snack, or a treat or something to take home afterwards, you feel like a VIP. These things are worth celebrating.
